Trey Scharlin

TREY SCHARLIN

Trey has an extensive background in coaching and has also played soccer for over 30 years. Competing at various levels as a player, he has been involved in AYSO, club, high school, college & semi-professional soccer leagues. He currently holds his National D license and AAF advanced coaching license and serves as Assistant Coach to the Philippines Women's National Team and U20 as well as a Player's Agent for  in the Philippines United Football League.  For the PWNT Coach Trey oversees the US based training camps and National Team pre-event training camps. 

As the Head Coach of Los Alamitos High School boys’ varsity soccer (1998-2002), he lead the team to their first CIF championship in the past decade. For which, he was named the back to back Sunset League Coach of the Year (2001-2002), CIF Coach of the Year (2002), LA Times Coach of the Year (2002) and AAF Coach of the Year (2002). Trey has also served as the Southern High School All Star team Head Coach. Trey has also coached at Mater Dei High School as a Varsity Asst. Coach for the Boys’ Soccer team.

At the college level, he served as the Head Asst. Men's Soccer Coach at Long Beach City College for three years. After leaving LBCC he went on to serve as Co- Head Women's Soccer Coach at Cerritos College for one year before moving to Santa Ana College for three years where Trey was the Head Asst. Women’s Soccer Coach.

In addition to his High School and College coaching experience, he coached for several clubs in the area before most recently spending 7 years as President and Director of Coaching for Beach Soccer Club. He currently serves as Head Coach for Strikers FC BU16 and has Coached the U18 (ECNL) Elite Club National League teams. Trey also serves as the Head Coach for the iSoccer Star team, which is a part of the One Shot One Dream group that travels to Europe every summer to showcase young American players in hopes of signing professional soccer contracts. One Shot One Dream has been instrumental in signing several players to their first professional contract in Germany, Croatia, Montenegro, Philippines and other countries.
