Strikers FC Elite Clubs National League (ECNL)


ABOUT STRIKERS FC ECNL

Irvine Strikers FC ECNL is located in Irvine, in Orange County, California, south of Los Angeles and north of San Diego. The ECNL program is for elite level female players, U14 to U18. Strikers ECNL is led by Technical Director Abner Rogers, who has had a long and successful history of developing and guiding teams and individual players to multiple National and State Championships, and to elite levels of play at the college and professional levels. Players under Abner's guidance have received many accolades for their creative, adaptable, and attractive style of play (see here for alumni list), and Abner himself has been recognized in both youth and pro soccer, including being named as WPS Coach of the Year with his National Championship winning women's professional team, LA Sol. In addition to Strikers FC ECNL, Abner is also Technical Director of Strikers Orange County (formerly Laguna Hills Eclipse, which he founded) which has competitive teams from U7 to U18, and is an affiliated feeder club to Strikers ECNL. This collaboration will see both Strikers ECNL and Orange County continue to produce elite level players and teams for many years to come.

Compete Sports Performance & Rehab Joins Strikers

Compete Sports Performance and Rehab is proud to be a part of the Strikers Orange County soccer program. Our Strength and Conditioning Coaches will be working with all ECNL teams leading up to the beginning of the regular season. The purpose of the program will be to improve performance on the field while limiting injuries. The program will include a dynamic warm up, core and hip activation, speed and agility drills, acceleration and power production, strength, stability and jump mechanics. Compete has over 20 years experience in professional soccer, hockey and football and will be working with the developers of the FIFA 11+ program to in order to decrease injuries common to the game of soccer. Compete has had over 50 college commitments in just six years and has worked with numerous professional and Olympic athletes including 5 time FIFA Player of the Year, Marta and US National Team member Shannon Boxx. As part of the Strikers agreement, Compete will offer free injury evaluations to all Strikers players by one of our Athletic Trainers or Physical Therapists.
